1. Who we are
SpinPal is owned and operated by Plant Stuff Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are the data controller for the personal data processed in connection with the SpinPal app.

2. What information we collect
We aim to collect only what we need to run the app. At present we collect:
- Account identifier: a username you choose when you sign up.
We do not collect or store your real name, email address, phone number, precise location, or health/biometric data. Location data is not stored.
3. How we use your information and why
We process your data under the UK GDPR on the basis of legitimate interests to provide and improve SpinPal. Specifically, we use your data to:
- Authenticate your account via Firebase Authentication.
- Understand app performance via Firebase Analytics (aggregated/anonymous usage metrics).
- Generate workouts using OpenAI services. We do not send personal data to OpenAI.
- Process payments using Stripe when you purchase paid features.
We do not use your data for marketing or advertising and we do not sell personal data.
4. Where we get your data
Data comes directly from you when you create an account or use the app. Basic diagnostic and analytics data may be generated automatically by your device and app runtime.
6. International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions and Standard Contractual Clauses. As we only store usernames, the personal data involved is minimal.
7. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures, including secure authentication, least‑privilege access, and encryption in transit. Nevertheless, no system is perfectly secure; please keep your login details safe.
8. How long we keep your data
We keep your username for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your associated data from our systems and instruct processors to do the same where applicable.
9. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data;
- Request deletion of your data/account (available in the app or by email);
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Data portability in some cases.
To exercise your rights, contact support@spinpal.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
10. Children
SpinPal is for users aged 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post updates inside the app and update the “Last updated” date above.
